Eric Miranda

Last week, I got an email from a woman in Nashville saying that she grew up with ERIC MIRANDA in New York. The state somewhere, the name of the place escapes me. Anyway, I briefly thought it odd that I was being contacted, but weirder things have happened online.

I made the appropriate forwards and Eric Miranda got in touch with her or vice versa or whatever. I was speaking to Eric Miranda last night and he said the reason she contacted me was when she Googled his name, my blog came up first. I'd mentioned Eric Miranda in terms of his comedy stylings at FiTC Hollyweird.

In case it's escaped your notice, I'm blasting Eric's name (his full name, mind you) so that I can Google his name (or he can, hehehehe) and see my post. Mostly because it's funny.

Here is my weird Eric Miranda story: I saw him play with a great rock band in NYC and afterwards I asked him if he knew anyone who could give me a real authentic bluegrass guitar lesson while I was in town. So he gives me this guy's number and swore he was one of the best bluegrass players on the East coast...but to be careful not to fall for his charms. I call the next day and agree to meet this guy Elton at a music store where he teaches part time. I walk in all psyched and who should be standing there to give me my lesson? Eric "Elton" Miranda. Pretty damn good bluegrass picker, and definitely charming.
